2007 is
a critical year for Virgo, as one phase of your
life draws to a close, allowing a new you to
emerge. Virgo has seen
your share of instability since 2003, when
Uranus, the champion of the unexpected, entered
watery Pisces in Virgo's 7th House of
Partnerships. It may seem as if the important
developments in your life have been in response
to circumstantial surprises that were outside
your control. These unpredictable events --
affecting both business and personal
relationships -- are likely to continue, keeping
Virgo on your toes until Uranus leaves Pisces in
2010.
Your need for
freedom intensifies this year -- at times
creating anticipation and eagerness -- but Virgo
may be confused by the wide range of choices.
With Jupiter, the planet of expansion and reward,
in Virgo's 4th House of Home and Family this
year, you might not want to leave the house.
Still, your desire for grand adventure is
stimulated by a long-lasting dynamic square
between optimistic Jupiter and erratic Uranus.
Don't try to restrain your need for independence
much, or you might find yourself vicariously
living out your life through the actions of
unconventional people. Virgo's attraction to
unorthodox and even irresponsible friends or
lovers can, in turn, vitalize your spirit at the
expense of reducing your serenity.
Four eclipses this year fall along the Virgo-Pisces
axis, mobilizing the cosmos and acting as
electrifying catalysts for change in your life.
Virgo won't be able to hold on to the status
quo, so embrace the transformations as they
arrive. The first, a Lunar Eclipse involving
Uranus on March 3, stimulates the sudden release
of pent-up tensions. On March 18, a Solar
Eclipse in your relationship house squares
passionate Pluto, agitating deeply-rooted fears
and jealousy issues. On Aug. 28, a Lunar Eclipse
with Saturn indicates the need to meet your
obligations at any cost. The last, on Sept. 11,
is a Solar Eclipse opposite Uranus that again
awakens an urgent sense that life may pass you
by if you don't take action right away. Each
eclipse has a different flavor, but together
they make a convincing story of personal
metamorphosis.
Much of Virgo's
attention now is about a serious reevaluation of
where you are in your life; what parts of it are
working, and what parts are not. There is no
need for panicky decisions if you begin this
process early in the year. However, by September,
when the stern taskmaster, Saturn, enters Virgo,
you will feel the pressure to take
responsibility and redirect your focus, if
necessary. Virgo may already see your freedom
of choice being limited by circumstances, so you
must eliminate everything that isn't critical to
your future. Wherever you have fallen short
of your expectations, it may be time to cut your
losses. Unfortunately, if you wait until autumn,
it will be too late to methodically plan for
this powerful time that will continue for the
next couple of years.
